For families

Talk to her more, not less.

Zika Care isn't a replacement for you ringing her. It's the reason you ring her about the right thing. You'll hear what she'd never mention, early, in her own words — and she'll know that you do.

The digest

Ten seconds, after every call.

At most three sentences, within fifteen minutes of the call and timed for your morning. It keeps what she said apart from what anyone else said, and never dresses a guess up as a fact. These are the four notes from the calls on this site.

Kamala · today’s call

for Priya

Good call, chatty by the end. She asked me to book an auto: Ganesh, 5pm today, Pratap Nagar to Sushila's in Dharampeth. One way only.

Left knee troubling her again since Sunday. She played it down and is still going out this evening. Worth a call about the knee.

Ravi · today’s call

for Meena

Low to start but brightened up. Finished the crossword bar one.

BP tablets (amlodipine 5 and Telma 40) were nearly out. Ganapathy Medicals delivering 30 of each at 6pm today, with the bill to you. He asked me to tell you he's okay.

He said people make him repeat himself so he's stopped talking to them. He talked well today.

Rosa · today’s call

for Liza

Cheerful. She said yes to things she hadn't heard twice, so I checked each one. Put her second hearing aid in partway through, then heard fine.

Booked: Dr Santos, Thursday 1 Oct, 9:30am. Fasting from midnight for a blood test. She wants to know if coffee's allowed, and I'll ask the clinic.

Florence · today’s call

for Karen

Hospital letter read to her in full (Maureen photographed it): Royal Eye Hospital, Medical Retina, Tue 13 Oct, 2:40pm. Drops, so no driving, and it could take up to 3 hours.

She's asking Jean to go with her and wants to tell you herself on Saturday. I'll remind her on Monday 12th. Sharp and in good form.

What you can do

Everything on your side, nothing on hers.

Ask it anything

“Has she mentioned the knee this month?” It answers with the dates and what she actually said. It won't speak for her, name a condition, or tell you something she marked private.

Send things her way

A voice note, a photograph, a request. It plays your voice to her on the next call, describes the photo, and sends back her reply in her own voice.

Arrange things for her

Book the plumber, send a car, order the shopping. She's told before anything arrives and can say no. It won't pass on instructions about her behaviour, like “tell her to take her tablets”.

Set the rules

Call time, spending limits and allowed categories, who gets which alerts, subjects it should never raise with her.

Share it fairly

Brothers and sisters can all join. One person pays; everyone sees the same thing. If settings conflict, the safer one wins and everyone is told.

A room for the family

One shared thread per person, where the family and Zika coordinate. Duplicate requests are caught. There are no read receipts and no nudges. She knows it exists and who's in it.

What you won't see

Her privacy is not a setting.

She's the one being consulted, not the one being monitored. Some things stay with her no matter who pays.

  • Anything she marks private.

She can say “keep this between us” about a subject or a whole call, and it's honoured.

  • Things that aren't yours to know.

Gambling, drinking and money lost never appear in a digest.

  • Guesses.

When it isn't sure what she said, that sentence is not shown to you as if she said it.

  • Anything that implicates you.

If someone close to her is the problem, there's a route to help outside the family, and it isn't visible to the person involved.

  • Every time you listen, she can know.

She's told her family can hear the recordings, and each time someone does, it's logged where she can find out.

Our principles

Money

She never sees a price, a card or a code.

Every payment method sits with the family. She's never asked to approve a transaction or say a number, and it never asks anyone for a PIN or one-time code. Ever. So a scammer imitating it has nothing to imitate.

Pricing

Priced per country, in your currency, paid monthly by the family.

  • Plans differ only in how much talking is included. Every plan includes every safety feature.
  • She’s never cut off mid-conversation, and never told which plan she’s on.
  • No trial that quietly starts charging.
  • Prices aren’t set yet. Waitlist members hear first.

Too far away? Not from their phone.
